This episode of the Hubcast is brought to you by Aircall.
What is going on with INBOUND.com? They still haven’t gotten breakout speaker videos up. Hmm...
And if you came here to find a link to my new pillar page on HubSpot Marketing, here it is!
Property of the Week: Sales Property Series
Number of Times Contacted
“The total number of times a contact was sent a sales email or called.”
Why even talk about these properties? You need to empower your sales team with them!
This is an interesting property on the reporting front - we can look at things like the average number of emails and calls it takes for someone to become a customer, or run that report on a specific subset of contacts.
What’s on Marcus’ Mind
Carina's random thought of the week:
What’s more important: eliminating prospect/customer friction and giving them the best experience, or making things easier on your organization internally (i.e. with things like automation and efficiencies)?
If it’s the former, do the decisions you make as an organization really reflect that?
HubSpot Wishlist: Multiple companies per deal
“Business deals often involve multiple companies.
How far away is HubSpot from allowing multiple companies to be assigned to deals?
For example, in the field of Architecture and Construction, there is a prospective client (a company) who wants a new building. Pursuing this project opportunity (a deal) involves forming a complete team, including an architect (a company) and many consultants (other companies). See what I mean?” - monicaway
Do you work with resellers and/or distributors? How do you handle your deals in HubSpot?

Turn Business Cards into Contacts with the free Business Card Scanner for iOS and Android
“Head to your iOS or Android App and click on the Contacts tab. From there, create a contact, select the option to scan a business card, and you’re ready to go.
The scanner will pick out first name, last name, email address, phone number, website URL, and job title from the card and map it automatically to the respective HubSpot properties. The mobile app is able to do this using the power of machine learning, with the mapping prediction improving with every scan.
Once that contact is created, you get all the power of HubSpot behind it - automatic contact-company association, the ability to send tracked follow-up emails, calling, tasks and much more.
This is available to all HubSpot users who have the iOS or Android App downloaded. And it's free. No strings attached.”
