There is a distinct difference between expressing a socially acceptable personal preference and articulating an opinion that speaks to such a deep moral failing, one can hardly believe an individual would ever be brave enough to utter it.

For example, having a favorite color. — mine is a very specific shade of red orange, because I'm difficult — is a socially acceptable personal preference.

On the other hand, well... take a look:

This exchange occurred last night with resident food deviant and IMPACT Director of Community and Events Stephanie Baiocchi after she posted a picture of what I can only describe as an abomination of a pizza creation. (Trust me, you don't want to see it.)

A monstrosity she goes on to describe in detail... and with impunity. 

No cheese. Peppers. Jalapeños. Banana peppers. Sausage. Pepperoni. Meatballs. Onions. 

And, worst of all, pineapple

Unlike having a favorite color, putting pineapple on pizza isn't simply a personal preference. Rather, it's often an indicator of a flawed character, a streak of inhumanity etched so deep within one's soul that it can never be erased. 

More simply, ew. It's gross, and if you like pineapple on pizza, you're just wrong

Need another example?

Fine. Saying you don't consider video a critical part of your 2020 strategy is the digital sales and marketing equivalent of liking pineapple on your pizza. At least in my eyes.
