See How Easily You Can Find Inbound Marketing Inspiration

See How Easily You Can Find Inbound Marketing InspirationMaybe it's one of those days where it's rainy and dreary, and while you were walking to work someone drove through a puddle and you got soaked.

That's probably not the best way to start your day.

So maybe that didn't happen to you, but you're distracted or you cannot wait for the weekend. How do you expect to write that email, blog article or even an ebook?

When it comes to inbound marketing inspiration and creativity can go a long way. It shouldn't be painful.

Inspiration can come from a ton of different mediums and venues. See how easily you can find the inspiration to ensure your marketing campaign is awesome.

6 Places to Find Inbound Marketing Inspiration

HubSpot totally hit the nail on the head with their new offer, the marking box. In one place you can easily find all the things you need to start cranking out that email you need to send about your up-coming webinar. A little inbound marketing inspiration especially comes in handy when you don't have a starting point or any idea what to write about. You just need a little inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. Who doesn't want to generate incredible ideas.

Who doesn't want to generate incredible ideas. Finding the inspiration to develop the coolest marketing offer can be difficult and sometimes time consuming. Here's six places to inspire your next stellar inbound marketing campaign.

1. Music

In the digital age, you cannot go anywhere without hearing music. Unfortunately, you're going to find that not everyone is going to like the same genre as you. Some people might enjoy listening to white noise, classical music, or even something up beat.

You will also find that one person in your office who enjoys listening to the one song you cannot stand. And it will be on repeat.

If you cannot concentrate, it will take you hours to develop that intricate workflow or your newest ebook. I recommend checking out Songza. You can find the right playlist for your mood, activity, or even the time of the day. You'll be sure to find a playlist for just about everything.

Songza

Okay, so maybe music won't tell you how to create that workflow but it can get you into the mindset, and before you know it you will be creating them in your sleep.

Consider developing a playlist on your YouTube channel that is geared to your clients. Develop a playlist with 10 to 12 songs that will get others in the right mindset to write that email. It's a quick and easy way for you to help clients, prospects, marketing evangelists and others write a blog article or even develop an email.

Whether you're listening to Bon Jovi or Luke Bryan you will be finishing those marketing tasks in no time.

2. Video

How many times have you seen a crazy or interesting marketing video? Probably more often than you are willing to admit.

According to YouTube, "more than 800 million unique users visit the site each month." Therefore, you must have seen a parody to Gangam Style, the Harlem Shake or various fail compilations. Those are just a few among the countless videos across the Internet.

When developing content for your website, consider developing video content. Why you might ask, well according to MarketingSherpa, "video attracts 2-3x as many monthly visitors, doubles time on site, and has a 157% increase in organic traffic from search engines."

Knowing that stat who wouldn't be inspired to start developing their very own video for their homepage.

However, that shouldn't be your only reason. Video is also a great tool to attract blogger readers. If you don't have the time to develop 100 blog articles in one day. Consider shooting a two-minute video explaining a topic.

Not sure if video blogging is for you, check out these experienced video bloggers:

    • ACT Dental

    • Moz formally known as SEOMoz

    • Wistia

3. Memes

A meme won't tell you how to kick start your inbound marketing campaign, but who wouldn't want to share them.

Humor is a huge part of inbound marketing. Your customers and prospects don't want to talk to a robot. You want to showcase your personality throughout your campaign. And who doesn't appreciate a good laugh.

Not only can a meme provide you with some inspiration, but it's a great way to drive traffic back to your site. So maybe while you're working on developing the content for your latest ebook, work on creating a meme that will knock the socks off your prospects. Because every new offer needs a great social media marketing strategy.

Why memes are successful in inbound marketing:

    • Potential to go viral

    • Makes great social media fodder

    • Attracts traffic, likes, shares and links

    • Quick and easy to create

4. Guides

I'm not sure about you guys but a guide can be extremely helpful. This can provide you with a great starting point.

So you came into work uninspired and then your boss needs you to create 5 emails one for each of your company's buyer personas by the end of the day (p.s you've never created a single email before). You might be stressing out. With a helpful guide, you will be on the road to marketing rockstardom in no time.

A guide is a great resource to provide prospects, leads and customers with additional information to ensure that they're successful. Not every prospect is going to know what goes into developing profitable buyer personas and how they can use that information to develop a successful inbound marketing campaign.

5. Templates

Do you need help when it comes to directions? I'm not talking about directions to a place you're going to visit.

Sometimes you don't always know what to do next. With a template, it can help you lay out the steps and the process it takes to ensure that you're following the best practices and developing a campaign everyone will love.

A template will allow you to easily create social media updates, develop a blog editorial calendar, and define your buyer personas. With so many different inbound marketing channels, it can be difficult and take you longer to do your job. It should be easier to help you get your job done fast.

6. Quotes, Stats, and Facts

I don't know about you, but ... I love quotes, stats, and facts. They are a great way to get inspired.

For example: "Companies with more than 51 blog articles experience a 77% lift in median monthly leads."

After reading that fact you might say wow.

That's a great way to start your blog article. Consider making it the title. You will be sure to grab the attention of your readers.

In a recent inbound learning webinar with Mark Kliens and Chris LoDolce from HubSpot, they talked about the importance of developing amazing blog articles and using data and images to tell a better story.

Marketing Quote

Quotes, stats and facts don't just need to be something interesting you 've read. They can inspire you to write remarkable content. Use those three to support and add validity to your content as well as a great way to break up the monotony of your content.

If all else fails, consider taking a coffee break and pretending that you're actually, hiking, on the beach somewhere, laying in bed, running on the treadmill, or even people watching at the mall. If those are your favorite things to do.
