Sometimes, non-marketers are actually the best marketers. That is the case with Ryan Hawk, host of The Learning Leader Show podcast. In this week's episode of The Inbound Success Podcast, Ryan talks about how he went from working in corporate leadership at Lexus Nexus to starting a podcast and eventually leaving the corporate world to focus on his podcast and personal brand full time.
Podcasting has been around for awhile (since the 1980s, to be exact), but in the last few years, the level of interest amongst listeners has grown dramatically. Today, approximately 67 million Americans over the age of 12 listen to podcasts monthly. As the audience has grown, so has the number of podcasts and the interest from advertisers considering spending some of their ad dollars on this emerging medium.
What are the top trends that will influence inbound marketers' ability to be successful in 2018? That's the question I set out to answer in this week's interview with famed marketer and podcaster, Eric Siu.
Happy new year from The Inbound Success Podcast! I can't believe today is officially 2018 and the new year has already begun. In last week's Christmas episode, I looked back on 2017 and shared why I started this podcast and thanked the guests that have joined me on this journey so far.
Welcome to a very special Christmas episode of The Inbound Success Podcast! I had a conversation a few weeks ago with the team here at IMPACT that I work with on this podcast and they asked if I was still going to publish an episode today. I decided to do it because if there's one thing I've learned in my 10 plus years as a content marketer and my three-plus years as a podcaster it's that consistency is key. If you say you're going to publish a blog or a podcast every Monday morning at 10:30 am, then you've got to publish it every Monday morning at 10:30 am, even if that Monday happens to be Christmas Day. This is a short episode due to the holiday. I'm not sure if anyone will actually be listening, but for those who are, I'm grateful for you. To me, that's a Christmas gift in and of itself -- that you would choose to listen to this podcast on a holiday. I don't have a guest today. Instead, I wanted to take a step back and talk about what led me to create the podcast, and also some of the things I've learned in recording the last seventeen episodes.
This week, I'm taking another deep dive into podcasting - this time with Andrew Dymski of DoInbound and GuavaBox. Andrew is also a co-host of The Agency Journey podcast, a fantastic resource aimed at helping agency owners build and grow their agencies. He and his co-host Gray MacKenzie have been podcasting for some time now and have published over 120 episodes, with lots of lessons to share from that experience.
Looking for a way to generate leads, establish thought leadership and get massive return on investment from your marketing? Look no further than podcasting. In this week's episode of The Inbound Success Podcast, I'm interviewing George B Thomas of The Sales Lion and The HubCast Podcast about how he created and grew The HubCast, and what it has meant for him personally and professionally.
