About three years ago, we ramped up our content output and opted to send subscribers one daily email with everything from the day rather than the instant notifications the majority was receiving at the time. For a while, this was great, but today, it can be even better. To that end, the time has come to say goodbye to the IMPACT Daily Digest, friends -- but we’re replacing it with something you’ll love even more. Here’s why.
Today, we are thrilled to announce that The Sales Lion will be merging with IMPACT. For years, both teams have had a close relationship sharing the same purpose, passions, values, and goals. Last year, we formed a partnership that allowed our two companies to work together, better educate and service clients, and co-host IMPACT Live 2017. In 2018, we’re making this partnership permanent.
If you’re a regular on the IMPACT website, you’ll notice we made some big changes yesterday. But this wasn’t a website website redesign. We recently reimagined IMPACT as a whole, and now, our website reflects this reimagining.
So, something amazing is happening on Facebook right now. No kidding. This past summer, we created a buzzing marketing community called IMPACT Elite on Facebook, and the conversations, connections, and inspiration coming out of it have already surpassed our greatest expectations.
Before we talk about 2017, let’s go back a few years. When IMPACT arrived at INBOUND 2013, our heads were held high. We expected to have a big night. The year prior we won awards for Rookie of the Year and Best Content, and we had made huge strides internally since. We staffed up. We moved into a bigger office. We doubled our revenue. Because of those milestones, we were sure we were on our way to being named HubSpot Agency Partner of the Year — the partner program’s highest honor and one we coveted since we saw Element Three take it in 2012. But when the moment finally arrived, IMPACT’s name was nowhere to be found. And that lit a fire under us.
About three years ago, IMPACT was at a crossroads. Morale was low, clients were leaving us, and even more disheartening, so were team members in droves. At one point, we lost someone about every two weeks. Looking at the grim horizon, we never would’ve imagined that, today, we would be named one of Fortune’s Top 25 SMB Workplaces in the New York area.
Today marks almost one month since I joined the team at IMPACT. The last several weeks have been a whirlwind -- in the best possible way -- and now that I’ve settled in, I thought I would take some time to share the story of what brought me to the IMPACT team. I’ve always been an open book, so here’s the scoop...
