One of the most overlooked email marketing tools are thank you emails. They are a quick and easy way to impress your leads or traffic, and it's a great way to push leads further down the sales funnel. By utilizing thank you emails with all your offers, you give your leads information they need in order to follow through with your ebook or webinar.

Thank you emails also allow you to promote other aspects of your marketing, whether it be another offer, or your social media accounts. You really can't go wrong with them, and you have the ability to make your marketing a lot more efficient by saving a step! Instead of resending another email, you can simply include more offers in your thank you emails. This saves you both time and resources.

Leads want these emails. They need them in order to get what they originally were looking for. The link to the ebook or the webinar login information is contained in the thank you emails, so they are almost guaranteed to be opened. So what does the savvy marketer do? They take advantage of that.

This is a great place to put a few calls-to-action that lead to another similar offer that your leads may want to download. By providing them with more relevant information, they are more likely to download more of your content and use your company when they're read to purchase.

People like to share things! When leads get something that they really like, they want others to see it too. They will forward your content to other potential leads, and some of them will download your content as well. More leads=More business. That's the whole purpose of your email marketing campaign.

What you basically want from your thank you emails is to give your leads what they want, and then provide them with something new. The simplest of emails can be the most effective. A short "Thank You" with the download link and then another link to a similar offer. That's all that is necessary for having a good thank you email!

How To Utilize Thank You Emails

Keep things simple. The easier the navigation of a thank you email the better. You want leads to find the links they are looking for easily, without having to search through lines of useless content. Less work for you, and more efficient marketing! What else can you ask for?

Optimize your emails for further lead nurturing. Use CTA's and more offers to pull your leads further into your system. Add a few, and vary them across the sales funnel. Some leads may want a free trial or consultation, so give it to them! But you still may have leads that want more information about you, so give them that as well. Make these CTA's relevant to the offers that they have downloaded in the past too!

Let them share! By giving your leads buttons that link to your Twitter and Facebook, you are not only improving your social media marketing, but also advertising about the offer that your leads have just downloaded! It's like killing two birds with one stone; efficiency at its best. The worst thing they could do is not click on them!
