This episode of the Hubcast is brought to you by ReachForce.

This just in: INBOUND is starting a Fellows program!

Via the new application:

Overview: New this year, INBOUND is piloting a program to help up and coming speakers attend and speak at INBOUND as part of its ongoing commitment to having the world’s top thinkers, influencers, and change-makers share their knowledge at the event. As an INBOUND Fellow, you will:

  • Be a breakout speaker at INBOUND 2019

  • Be an ambassador of the event

  • Have a hotel room in the Seaport paid for by INBOUND for the full week (Tues-Thurs nights)

  • Attend a special INBOUND Fellows networking event

  • Receive a video recording of your breakout session after the event

  • Be a lifetime member of the INBOUND community, with a free All-Access pass to the event every year, even if you are not speaking”

Property of the Week: Field Type Series

Single Line Text + Multi-Line Text

Single-line text: can contain a string of any alphanumeric characters, such as a word, a phrase, or a sentence.

Multi-line text: can contain several strings of alphanumeric characters, such as a paragraph or list of items.

Why are we doing this series? Because understanding field types will help you wrap your head around custom contact properties, how your data is stored in HubSpot, and how you can manipulate it!

I suggest only using these two field types when you absolutely have to. If you can pre-determine responses, it’s going to make segmenting your contacts SO much easier.

What’s on Marcus’ Mind

This week, Marcus goes off on his thoughts about brands that create campaigns that divide vs. build up.

Brands need to understand the difference between a “common cause” and a clear “political cause” (Simply pissing off their customers… #Gillette).

HubSpot Wishlist: Email open and click reporting for sequences

“Scott from the product team here.

We've heard from our customers that sequences reporting does not give a full picture of email performance, and customers must try to stitch this data together by viewing template and sequence reporting independently within HubSpot.

To solve this, we're building open and click reporting directly into Sequences.”

I can’t begin to tell you just how important clean data is.

If I had a nickel for every time someone said to me, “I want to do an email campaign to this specific segment of contacts,” but they have absolutely no way to break out their database by that segment!

If you’re a B2B business that wants to do better Account Based Marketing, Segmentation, and Personalization, ReachForce’s SmartSuite of tools helps you do just that.

Verify and enrich the data you have with over 150 contact and company attributes. Visit ReachForce.com/hubcast to begin building a strong data foundation right now!

HubSpot Updates

New Troubleshooting View for Meetings Links

Under each of your Meetings links in HubSpot, there is now a Troubleshoot option under the Actions tab.

If you’re having problems with your Meetings link and can’t figure out why certain times are or aren’t showing, this viewer will show you where each unavailable slot conflict is coming from.

Go to the Meetings tool in your portal to check it out!
