IMPACT Updates

IMPACT Live 2018

In 2018, inbound is not just about marketing anymore. Marcus Sheridan opened the event with an inspiring talk that empowered attendees to apply inbound principles to all aspects of their businesses with this in mind.

This came from IMPACT's new inbound manifesto which was launched at IMPACT Live 2018. We featured this on the backs of our t-shirts and we shared a printed manifesto with every attendee.

Nick read the manifesto aloud and we talked about what inbound means in 2018.

Then, Nick shared that his favorite part of IMPACT Live 2018 was the video module which featured speakers including Zachary Basner and Tyler Lessard. My favorite was the content module including the amazing Marcus Sheridan, Liz Murphy, and Ann Handley. What a lineup!

We also love our sponsors! IMPACT Live would not be possible without them? Interested in sponsoring IMPACT Live 2019? Learn more here.

This is where we talk about what we’re doing and what we’ve learned lately right here in the trenches.

Event Follow Up

From a Marketer's Perspective

The best advice I can give if you're a marketer working on an event is to do everything possible to plan your follow up ahead of time. Write as much of it as you can, create a schedule, and block off time on your calendar. Otherwise, when the event is over and you're exhausted and finally ready to relax - you won't be able to because you'll be frantically trying to follow up. Great follow up is essential to closing the loop on a successful event.

From a Sales Perspective

Nick reiterated how important preparation is. Preparing in advance to make the most of your time at the event and get follow up calls on the books right away is vital.

That's it for this week! We wrapped with our final thoughts which, as always, you can catch by watching or listening to the broadcast.

We would love your comments. What did you think of the show? Let us know in Elite. Make sure you never miss a show or update by subscribing at impactplus.com/show
