With all of the great blogs, Ebooks, webinars, and other premium content your company is creating, you also have a great opportunity to recycle this content to your mailing list. In fact, all of this great content will go a long way toward improving you email open rates (the percentage of people who actually open you email rather than ignore or junk it.)
Believe it or not, if you’re simply sending out boring email content and expecting an increase in your email click or email open rates, you may need to re-examine your strategy. Check out this infographic created by Litmus, which details reasons why readers not be engaging with your emails.

Improving your Email Open Rates
Mastering your email marketing strategy may seem like a high-wire balancing act, but with a little tweaking, it can be done.
How many is too many? How little is not enough? Who finds the content irrelevant?
The key, as is the case with any marketing tactic is to determine what exactly your target market is looking for. You need to understand your mailing list. This is why recycling content from your blog and other premium content is a great way to engage with your mailing list, as chances are, that’s how they found out about your company in the first place. And chances are, if they subscribed to your mailing list, they must’ve liked what they were reading.
You also must understand that you’ll lever please everyone in your following. You will get people unsubscribing, it’s part of the game. Don’t take it personal, and don’t beat yourself up. They key is limiting the amount of people unsubscribing. If large numbers are subscribing all at once, it may be time to examine your email marketing campaign.
The Key is Great Content
Great content is what makes inbound marketing go ’round. So while it may sound simple, it’s important that you actually go ahead and offer great content.
