Even better? HubSpot parodied this Korean Pop Sensation in their own video, garnering over 100,000 views. Well, this is concept is viral content marketing. It’s content that spreads just like a virus, until anyone and everyone knows exactly what it is. Now at first thought, Korean Pop doesn’t really sound like something interesting, right? Well that’s exactly what happened; people found it interesting. Interesting enough that they spread it worldwide.
However awesome it would be, viral content is not as easy as creating a funny dance. It’s an extremely difficult accomplishment! Tips For Creating Viral Content
Most of the time, with the right amount of luck and scheduling, content that goes viral is completely random. Yes it’s unfortunate, but luck plays a role in viral content. Now that’s not to say that there’s nothing you can do to help this process! Quite the contrary. When planned and excecuted correctly, even the most unlucky person can produce great viral content. So what do you need to do?
Be New, and Be Weird
A lot of the time, it’s something completely innovative and crazy that catches on. Don’t be afraid to throw some extraneous ideas out there. Think outside the box! What is totally new, and what has never been done before? It may be as easy as throwing together a few random words and making them work. The most important part of this is that it needs to be something that no one has ever seen or heard of before. You need to be a bit absurd!
For an extreme boost in viral potential, make things visual. I’m sorry to say that an ebook or some website content is not going to be the best candidate for making your content viral. Videos and images are the best ways to capture your audience and get your point across.
Don’t Do What People Don’t Like
So… do what they do like! You should latch on to new trends and popular ideas if you want viral content. But you don’t want to be ripping off other ideas remember.

Make Things Easy to Share
Ask yourself, what do you want viewers to do when they are done viewing your content? You want them to make other people see it. So make that an easy thing to do! Add social media buttons and icons to your content so that its as easy as a click to share your content. Also make sure you don’t forget the easiest way to spread your viral content; Share it yourself. Post on your social media and blog about your content, and your viewers are sure to send it along to all their buddies.
When you create viral content, keep these things in mind. When your properly optimize your content to go viral, odds are that it will!
