Facebook recently released a great new feature to their already robust social networking platform: Facebook Places. At this point, I would hope that all of you business owners out there have a professional Facebook page and maintain it on a regular basis. If not, start one because this new feature can be a hit for your company!
For what it’s worth, location based marketing is one of the largest trends and will most likely be here to stay – especially with businesses trying to get into industry niches. With that said, the Facebook Places feature is currently on a full head of steam after its start as a smartphone/iPad application so here are a few reasons that you should register today:
- Anyone can post content with regard to your place. This is great, but if nobody claims your place there is nobody there to moderate that content.
- Branding, branding, branding; you want to make sure that your brand stands out and delivers your message through your Facebook Place.
