IMPACT was founded in 2009 out of Bob’s Condo in Wallingford, CT
In 2009, IMPACT was founded by Bob Ruffolo and William Shay when Bob had so many freelance clients, he was able to leave his current job. The company was originally developed to be a website design company.
First Employee & First Office Space.
The company’s first expansion in 2010
In May of 2010, IMPACT needed help and decided it was time to hire an employee. Running interview’s at Bob’s kitchen table, IMPACT hired its first employee, Tom DiScipio, who now serves as the company’s Vice President. Tom joined Bob working out of the condo for 3 weeks until IMPACT moved to their first office space in June. Initially, the new office had no desks… or even a front door. IMPACT worked from folding tables until the new desks finally arrived in July.
Expanding our reach and going national with SONIC® franchises
IMPACT’s relationship with Sonic of CT started in the fall of 2010, and through this relationship, our company gained measurable recognition. With the business and support of the Mesite family, the opportunity to work with over 70 SONIC® locations across the United States became both a reality and a source of great pride.
A tradition since 2011
Fiesta Friday was invented by Natalie Davis in early 2011 and is an IMPACT tradition that still continues today. It is a true Mexican lunch-in where we order burritos and quesadillas. We always talk about our upcoming weekend plans and occasionally indulge in some tequila. Sometimes we’ll even invite special guests. Care to join us?
Implementing the Inbound Marketing Methodology

New IMPACT Logo & Management.
Unveiling of our new logo and ownership team.
In May of 2012, IMPACT rebranded themselves creating a simplistic, yet symbolic and recognizable logo design inspired by the innovative approach taken by Apple. The “iM” icon is symbolic to inbound marketing while the arrow is representative of the sales funnel. It really proved that we do a lot more than design now. Around this same time, IMPACT also expanded it’s ownership with the addition of IMPACT’s Vice President, Tom DiScipio, Joe and Lyn Ruffolo (Bob’s Parents), and local businessman, Rob Mesite.

New Office in Wallingford.
Moving into our new home in July of 2012
IMPACT’s old office was about 700 square feet. Within two years, we were bursting at the seams. After months of preparing to move to our new office, we found out the location would not be available one week before we had to move. We quickly locked up our new location at 98 South Turnpike Road in Wallingford, CT. After a week of accelerated renovations, we finally moved, comfortably fitting our team of 18 marketers.
