In late May, Google introduced a new feature to Google Buzz called Reshare that allows users to reshare any posts in their stream with their followers. Reshare is similar to retweet on Twitter, but with a few differences. The Buzz offering supports user comments and users can reshare items either publicly or privately. The reshared item will identify the original author and even include a complete list, or “reshare chain,” of the people who shared it.

The reshare option is posted at the bottom of every Google Buzz item between “Like” and “Email.” Click it to reshare an item and start a new conversation thread.

The goal of the new reshare feature is to compete with Facebook and Twitter, which have similar features. As Google grows its presence in mobile with Android and in television with Google TV, there will be more gateways for Buzz adoption and integration.
