The following article is part of our “Behind the Screens” interview series which highlights the staff members here at IMPACT Branding & Design. We hope you enjoy getting to know the people behind the powerful marketing campaigns produced here at IMPACT!

Amy Chudy (@IMPACTAmy) is IMPACT Branding & Design’s Office Manager.  Through her organization and office know-how, she ensures that the company runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. She has a real passion for people and social media.

This is especially evident when she is handling social media accounts or interacting with customers. She loves it! Amy’s passion for communications and managing clients makes her a valuable piece to the puzzle here at IMPACT.

Her lighthearted attitude keeps the staff in high spirits, and we’re pretty sure that her infectious laugh can be heard for miles around.  Amy took a break from her busy day to answer a few questions so you could all get to know her as well as we do.

Q:  Where did you grow up and what was it like?

Amy:  I lived in Monroe my entire life – it’s a small town, the type where everyone knows everyone.  I had a lot of fun growing up.  I played soccer up until college, and spent a lot of time outside with my four brothers and sisters.

Q:  How would your family and close friends describe you?

Amy:  They would definitely call me a free spirit.  They’d probably also tell you that I am LOUD, I’m fun to be around, I’m generally positive and happy, and I’m adventurous.  I can also get pretty cranky when I’m tired or hungry (understatement).

Q:  Who is the most influential person in your life?

Amy:  My father.  He’s the most amazing man in the entire world.  He’s so incredibly strong and giving, and has really been there for my family.  He always does things for others and never asks for anything in return.  He’s a saint, literally.

Q:  What is your all-time favorite movie?

Amy:  I love the movie Dirty DancingCrazy, Stupid Love is also a favorite – it’s so funny and Ryan Gosling is ridiculous in it.  Eat, Pray, Love is a must..  That movie is life changing.

Q:  What is currently playing on your iPod?

Amy:  Right now I’m listening a lot of Eric Church.  Basically a lot of country music.

Q:  Who is your celebrity crush?

Amy:  Ryan Gosling is absolutely amazing.  There’s also Adam Levine.  Oh my gosh, those tattoos!… I’m not sure who I like more…

Q:  What is your guilty pleasure?

Amy:  Probably getting a manicure and massage.  I always feel bad spending the money on it, but I love having them done.  Spaghettios and mac n’ cheese are also guilty pleasures.

Q:  If you could spend an entire paycheck without worrying about bills or savings, what would you spend it on?

Amy:  I’d spend it on airfare to India.. I’d adventure around and eventually(???) come home.

Q:  What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?

Amy:  I love doing yoga and spending time with family.  I like to travel, read and write, paint… and tattoos.  Do tattoos count as a hobby?  If so, that’s on the top of the list.

Q:  Who is your favorite musical artist or band?

Amy:  It really depends on my mood.  I love country music and anything acoustic.  Some of my favorite bands are Sugarland and Fun.  Blake Shelton and Matt Nathanson are favorites, and I like oldies, too… I’m an old soul that way.

Q:  Describe your perfect Saturday afternoon.

Amy:  I’d spend the day doing yoga by the lake or any source of water.  There would be good food and I’d be surrounded by my friends and family.  The evening would end by dancing to a good band.

Q:  What’s something your co-workers would be surprised to learn about you?

Amy:  Hmm.. That’s a tough one. I’m a good cook.. Don’t ask Tom that though, he will disagree. I made him try cooked beets and tofu once.. he was not a fan.  I’ve also been bungee jumping. I’m a thrill seeker. That might surprise them? I’m not sure, I’d like to think I’m more interesting than this- but I guess I’m just an open book. No real surprises here…
