What’s Not Working?
If you find that you’re not generating the leads you need, have to gone back to take a second look at your current offers?
Are they attractive?
Do you think the headlines and landing page content are giving visitors enough incentive to download your offers?
Chances are, the answers to all three of these questions is no.
In order to develop attractive offers and landing pages, you need to put yourself into the shoes of your potential customer. As cliché as it sounds, it’s an effective way of stepping back in order to get a true sense of how your offers are performing.
Your offers should be created in a manner that focuses on pushing your leads further down the sales funnel. Simply making creative offers with no eye on the sales funnel is one way to stunt the growth of your website.
According to Gleanster, 50% of the qualified leads that come through your website are not yet ready to buy. So throwing a ton of offers on your site aimed only at bottom of the funnel visitors will only do one thing; get them to leave your site.
Working leads down the sales funnel is a delicate process. Just as it’s important to covert leads to sales, it’s equally as important to create top of the funnel offers in order to further qualify your leads to become sales ready.
Make Your Offers Remarkable
The first step to creating remarkable offers is to know your target audience. Sounds simple, right? Except many companies forego this step thinking they’ll simply attract whichever customer happens to come across their offer.
Create a detailed buyer persona. Basically, this will consist of who exactly you’re trying to sell to. How big is their company? How much do they make in revenue? What industry are they in?
Once you have a better idea of who exactly you’re selling to, you can more effectively create offers that are both attractive and tailored for these specific prospects. Also, be sure to create a variety of different offers. Some of your offers may be videos or coupons. Others may be informative Ebooks that help to set you aside as a trusted advisor in your industry.
Strive for creativity and variety.
Landing Pages
Simply put, your landing pages need to make it seem as if the visitor would be crazy not to take advantage and download it.
CRAZY!
How do you do this? Well…with great landing page content.
Be sure not to state everything the visitors needs to know about the offer on the landing page. Why? Because if you do, then what’s the sense in them downloading it?
It’s sort of like when you see a movie trailer that basically gives the whole plot of the movie away. What’s the sense in seeing it now?
Focus on the value of the offer. Why does the prospect need it? How will it help them?
Answer those questions through the content on the landing page. Let them know how they will benefit and why the NEED it.

Calls-to-Action
Now, in order to get someone to visit your landing pages, they need to first click on a call-to-action to get there.
But here’s the problem, if your CTA’s aren’t attractive or engaging, no one is going to click on them, which in turn, means no visits to your landing page.
Spoiler alert; you’ll have very little to no leads.
The moral of the story? Make your CTA’s attractive and engaging!
To have an effective call-to-action, be sure it achieves the following:
- Engages the user
- Provides a clear understanding about the offer
- Identifies a need
- Encourages user to make a decision
