Elon Musk: Secrets of a Highly Effective Entrepreneur

By: Lance Ulanoff

"Check out this very cool interview with American Engineer and billionaire Elon Musk, owner of Tesla Motors and SpaceX. How does a go-getter like him manage an extremely busy schedule? Being the serial entrepreneur that he is, Musk has to be in so many places at once, and still manages to fit everything in and have time to sit down for a Mashable interview! Very inspirational!"

LinkedIn will Outlive Facebook. Here's why.

By: Geoffrey James

"I thought this was a great article because it talked about the flaws with Facebook and why it won't last. I thought it was surprising that they stated LinkedIn will survive because I feel like most people don't know what LinkedIn is, and if they have an account they don't use it. Will be interesting to see what happens.."

30 Groovy Gig Posters

By: Gabrielle Mendez

"When you’ve got 100+ bands in one city, chances are you’re going to miss a couple of gigs that you would have really enjoyed (had you known about them, at least). There are a billion places a poster might occupy, after all, but around 80% of the time those particular surfaces and what’s on them will get ignored. At this point someone might exclaim, “But there’s the Internet! Why waste money printing things out and waste time finding spots for ACTUAL posters where the vast majority of people might miss them?"

CSS Sprites Revisited

By: Niels Matthijs

"A great technique that many web developers aren't using yet is CSS sprite images. A CSS sprite image allows you to put all of the images on your website into one big sprite. What this provides is a way to keep down on the number of different image files on your website. I know this is something I have played around with a few times, but there is definitely a right and wrong way of doing it. This article goes into detail on the right way to set it up."

How to Increase Traffic and Revenue by Writing for Fewer Readers

By: Peter Lawlor

"Very cool read. It's not so much how many readers your blog is reaching, but instead what kind of readers your blog is reaching. Quality of quantity."

Technology, social networking transforms giving

By: Judy Keen

"I am always looking for stories about charities, non profits or some do-good act in the news... that's the only news I am interested in hearing about. It seems to be the only positive thing we have to rely on these days. So this article actually talks about my two loves- social media and non-profit/charities. Social media has opened new doors for all giving venues. Since the awful Haiti catastrophe, people have been using texting, Facebook and twitter as ways of giving money and supporting charities. Sounds like the most amazing and useful way to use social media to me!"

Why Jakob Nielsen Is Wrong About Mobile Websites

By: Scott Gilbertson

"Jakob Nielsen has been hailed "the king of usability" in regards to websites. But I'm going to disagree with the king and say that he's dead from about mobile website, and Web Monkey is backing me up. Nielsen says that it's necessary to have two websites, two designs, with cross-linking for mobile sites. I think that's a little out there and not necessary. If you have a fully fluid website why take the extra time to build a new site just for mobile purposes?"
