Q: Where did you grow up and what was it like?
Joe: I grew up in Wolcott, Connecticut, which is a pretty small town. My neighborhood had a ton of other kids, though, so there was always something going on around the neighborhood.
Q: How would your family and close friends describe you?
Joe: They would say I’m really laid back and that I lean more towards the cool, collected side. I never really lose my temper. They’d also tell you that I’m pretty outgoing and always up to try something new.

Q: Who is the most influential person in your life?
Joe: I don’t think I can choose just one. Both of my parents, to start. They have always supported me in everything I’ve ever done or tried to do. I’d also say my grandmother, who passed away a few years ago. She was a glass-half-full type of person and that mentality really rubbed off on me.
Q: What is your all-time favorite movie?
Joe: I’m a sucker for terrible movies. It’s probably a toss up between Just Friends and The Fast and the Furious. If I had to choose a legit movie, I’d go with Jerry Maguire.
Q: What is currently playing on your iPod?
Joe: I’m listening to a lot of Kid Cudi and Say Anything. I always have them on repeat no matter what.
Q: Who is your celebrity crush?
Joe: Rashida Jones and Zooey Deschanel. I’ll let them fight over it – it’s tough to narrow it down.
Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
Joe: Even though I probably shouldn’t admit this to general population, I’d have to say romantic comedies, which you probably already figured out from my favorite movie. My girlfriend makes fun of me for it all the time.
Q: If you could spend an entire paycheck without worrying about bills or savings, what would you spend it on?
Joe: I’d buy a ton of new shoes… I love shoes. Nike’s and Vans are what I’m all about. I’d also get a season pass to a mountain somewhere nearby so I could go snowboarding whenever I want during the winter.
Q: What’s your favorite hobby or pastime?
Joe: It used to be soccer, but I don’t really play anymore. More recently, I’ve been into mountain biking and snow boarding when the season’s right.
Q: Who is your favorite musical artist or band?
Joe: Hands down, it’s Say Anything. I’ve listened to them since the 9th grade and it never gets old.
Q: Describe your perfect Saturday afternoon.
Joe: First of all, I’d be sleeping in as late as possible, and I’d have no work for once. I’d start the day by going to Tequila’s in Waterbury and getting burritos with my best friend and my girlfriend. Then I’d spend the rest of the day just relaxing at home with my girlfriend, lounging around and watching movies or floating around the pool with a cold beer.
Q: What’s something your co-workers would be surprised to learn about you?
Joe: I’m really quiet in the office, so I think they’d be surprised to see how I am at a bar or a party. I’m pretty outgoing, and I’ve been known to karaoke a song or two.
